Berisha: No investments in road infrastructure since 2013

TIRANA, May 3 /ATA/ The Chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, during the presentation of candidates for ‘DP-Alliance for a Great Albania’ in the city of Gramsh, focused on infrastructure and healthcare.

In his speech, Berisha emphasized that “Gramsh, more than any other district, is grappling with pressing issues.”

Before arriving, Besnik Kala messaged me, highlighting that the road to Kodoviat remains unfinished since 2013, meanwhile many villages are grappling with underinvested road infrastructure. Yet, Gramsh is a district with great untapped potential.

It’s a district of dedicated people, known for its thriving orchards that produce top-quality fruit.
Gramsh has significant tourist potential, including the beautiful Lake Banja, but these resources aren’t benefiting its people. Instead, they are forcing them to leave. The population has shrunk from 50,000 to just 16,000, Berisha highlighted.

“Inflation has driven up food prices by 250%, making life increasingly difficult for pensioners.”
