TIRANA, April 8/ATA/ General Directorate of Customs and the State Police signed today an agreement to facilitate export procedures, reduce the number of entities subject to scanning, accelerate the passage of cargo and strengthen cooperation between public institutions that interact at the port.
General Director of the Customs Gent Gazheli and General Director of the State Police Ilir Proda signed the agreement.
This agreement brings less bureaucracy, more efficiency and procedures that put Albanian business at the center and support exporters.
Durrës port is one of the most important port infrastructures, not only for Albania, but for the entire region because it serves as the main entry gate for goods to Albania and Kosovo, as well as for transits to North Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia and vice versa.
The congestion created due to the increased flow of vehicles and containers has also led to an increase in the number of scans by the Scanner, which reaches 330-350 vehicles per day, causing prolonged delays in this process. /j.p/p.s./
