TIRANA, April 5 /ATA/ Chairman of the Democratic Party Sali Berisha assured today that, “Pensions will increase by 20 percent and will be indexed twice as much as inflation.”
In a conference with the United Trade Unions, Berisha also emphasized that “There will be no low salary, below 500 euros.”
“We fight hard for a business-friendly climate and I guarantee every entrepreneur that this legal imposition of the government will be accompanied by major fiscal incentives so that they can once again have the profit they deserve, invest, hire and expand their work. But there can be no salary below 500 euros,” he said.
Also, Berisha promised to establish hourly wages. “We will progress like the free countries. Free countries do not move on the path of wild exploitation, but spread welfare, increase their living standard”, he added.
Speaking about pensioners, Berisha said that they will have a consumer card.
“The consumer card foresees that they will receive 20 percent of what they pay as VAT every 6 months, meaning they will receive about 450 euros per year in discounts on food prices and basic things. Also the medicine reimbursement list will be identical to Italy. We are not as Italy, but we will be like Italy for medicines because medicines are not a luxury”, he added. /m.m//a.f/p.s./
