PM Rama meets young entrepreneurs in Saranda, pledges support for infrastructure, tourism projects

TIRANA, March 24 /ATA/-By Maela Marini/ – Prime Minister Edi Rama has pledged support for important infrastructure and tourism projects in the coastal town of Saranda during a meeting with young entrepreneurs, who have recently returned back to Albania to contribute to local economy.

In his remarks, the government head focused on the untapped potential of the resort town of Saranda on the Albanian Riviera and the need to further expand and improve quality of the urban space.

“Saranda’s urban space has been narrowed in the past, but the situation can improve. Despite its density, Saranda remains a top destination for foreign visitors,” PM Rama added.

The Premier announced that a series of infrastructure projects will kick off shortly after the May 11 parliamentary elections.

“Construction of the so-called ‘Road 6’ will begin after the May 11 elections,” PM Rama said.
