Albanian startups, from Tirana’s Pyramid to Silicon Valley

TIRANA, March 19 /ATA/ – Plug and Play, a leading global innovation platform, has launched its accelerator program in Albania, a fresh opportunity for Albanian talented young people as the eight-month program offers training and intense bootcamps, providing opportunities for local promising startups to grow.

Nine Albanian startups have been selected by Plug & Play to join the program, which will provide them exclusive access to the Global Overseas Acceleration and Learning Program in Silicon Valley.

The Minister of State for Entrepreneurship and Business Climate Delina Ibrahimaj assured the selected startups of the government support in every step they take.

“We are proud of our talents, who are taking Albania to a whole new level in the global innovation landscape and we will support them in every step on the way,” State Minister said.

The first program in Albania by Plug and Play, one of the world’s leading startup accelerators, was launched in January as Tirana is emerging as a key innovation and entrepreneurship center in the Balkans.

The Plug and Play innovation hub in Tirana supports both local and international entrepreneurs, providing a platform for innovation across various industries.
