Rama: When Tirana came under opposition, it stopped development

TIRANA, February 21/ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama emphasized today that there is a difference between the two political forces which can be seen in a crystal clear way reflected in the transformation that the capital Tirana has undergone.

Rama said that when the democrats were in power, Tirana’s development stopped. And even the tower clock stopped.

The prime minister answered to comments in his “Eye to Eye” feature in the social media that he had done only his duty when elected to govern the capital city saying that he had done more than the duty.

Rama said that he didn’t make a paradise of the city, but his merit is that he elevated Tirana high.

The prime minister emphasized that, “Whoever doesn’t want to see it, doesn’t”.

“Present-day Tirana is no longer like Kandahar, and therefore present-day Albania is nowhere the same, since I and the Socialist Party have gained the trust of the people to lead this country and to elevate it to that peak where no one else can,” Rama said.

While to another commentator who said that the comparison after 35 years is ugly, Rama stated that, “Tirana was made by those who made it, not by those who, when was up to them, they undid it.”

The prime minister listed several works done in Tirana and that could be done only by the socialists.

“Therefore, he continued, “On May 11th, people will vote for the SP more than ever before, even for Tirana. The rest is talk, words in the wind and events that tomorrow will simply be left to oblivion.”

The prime minister assured that we will make “Albania 2030” the Europe of the Balkans and Tirana – its proud capital. /r.e/p.s./
