TIRANA, Feb 19 /ATA/ – As part of his talks in Tirana, the Director for South-Eastern Europe, Türkiye, the OSCE and the Council of Europe in the German Federal Foreign Office, Michael Reiffenstuel, held a meeting with the Chair of the Democratic Party’s parliamentary group, Gazment Bardhi, German Embassy in Albania announced on Wednesday.
They discussed political situation ahead of the parliamentary elections in the country, as well as the prospects for Albania’s EU accession.
German official Michael Reiffenstuel put emphasis on the importance of free and fair elections, as well as continued progress in the area of the rule of law.
Earlier today, the Director for South-Eastern Europe in the German Federal Foreign Office, Michael Reiffenstuel, met with Director General for Political and Strategic Affairs at the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Gazmend Barbullushi.
German Embassy said that the meeting focused on regional issues, Albania’s EU integration and the excellent Albanian-German ties.
