TIRANA, January 9/ATA/ Minister of Health and Social Protection Albana Koçiu stated today that the Social Fund has enabled support for the community services and improved the lives of citizens in need.
“During the six years since it was launched, the Social Fund has enabled support of 84 community services in 59 municipalities and 8 regions of the country with a positively impact on the lives of over 44 thousand citizens in need. Thanks to the contribution of 681 professionals and a budget of 1.5 billion lekë, this fund is enabling sustainable and accessible services to those who need it the most,” Koçiu wrote in a Facebook post.
Earlier, Minister Koçiu also spoke about the mapping of services. Thus, the Social Fund has enabled 18 integrated community services with mobile services for people with disabilities or in-home services for the elderly; 32 multifunctional centers that affect all strata in need; 4 emergency services, mainly for women victims of violence or for children in risk situations; 17 specialized services at the regional level and 2 assistance services for elderly people in need. /a.f/r.e/p.s./
