TIRANA, Jan 8 /ATA/ The Chairman of the Democratic Party, stated on Wednesday that “cutting energy prices for high energy consumers is a deception, as it benefits the wealthy, not those struggling with economic hardships.”
In a media statement, Berisha said, “This move favours those who consume large amounts of energy, like in the case of Rama himself,” adding that this is an example of extreme inequality and hypocrisy.
“The Democratic Party remains steadfast in its demand for a reduction in energy prices proportionate to the salaries and pensions of citizens with lower income. He also called for a reduction in energy prices for businesses, especially small businesses,” said Berisha.
The Democratic Party chairman stated, “In 2013, the price of energy for Albanians was much lower, and it has now risen unjustly, harming the citizens.”
” The Democratic Party will reverse the distribution of national income to eradicate poverty,” said Berisha.
