TIRANA, Jan 7 /ATA/ KOn Tuesday, Sali Berisha, the Chairman of the Democratic Party, welcomed Thomas Kunze, the head of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation office at the German Christian Democratic Party.
Accompanied by deputies Tomorr Alizoti and Akil Kraja, Berisha expressed to Kunze, as he put it, “his gratitude for the significant support and the invaluable contribution that KAS and the German CDU have made over the years in enhancing the cooperation between the two political parties and our two countries, particularly in advancing democratic values, European integration, and political accountability standards.”
Berisha highlighted, while sharing details from the meeting, that “the Democratic Party will continue to be the strongest pro-Western political force and the most committed to accelerating Albania’s European integration by promoting close collaboration with sister parties. This includes aligning the government’s program with European development strategies, politically educating the new generation, adopting innovative electoral technologies and practices, combating corruption, and ensuring government transparency, among other priorities.”
“On May 11 elections the Democratic Party will be more open, united, and stronger than ever,” wrote Berisha on social media.
