Rama: Passenger flow increased by 41% in 2024

TIRANA, Dec 30 /ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama stated on Monday, “The passenger flow increased by 41% in 2024.”
In his year-end press conference, Rama pointed out that “the increase in traffic flow and movement of people means economic growth for the country.”
Rama stated, “The increase in revenue from higher flow of movement of people and financial circulation is significant, especially for those who believe Albania is a money laundering haven. Comparing the scale of this entire economy to the flow of illegal proceeds is like comparing an elephant to a mouse, and this comparison is grounded on figures and facts, not on distorted perceptions.”
Furthermore, the Prime Minister mentioned that, in the past year, there has been a 16% increase in the number of motor vehicles entering the country and registered as property.
