TIRANA, December 24/ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama stated today that, “Albania has no plan B, but it will stick to the indisputable plan of joining the European Union”.
At the traditional Christmas dinner with the representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited to Albania, Rama stated that, “Within this decade, we would give anything to make this a reality”.
Referring to the elections of May 11, 2025, the prime minister assured that, regardless of which political party Albanians vote for, they will all decide to adhere to the values and principles of the Euro-Atlantic community.
“As we approach a new election year, I am sure that questions about the upcoming general elections will quickly take their place in your papers and reports. I believe, I have a pretty good idea of who will emerge the winner, but, beyond jokes, I can assure you that, regardless of which political party Albanians will vote for, they will all decide to uphold the values and principles of the Euro-Atlantic community, to promote the achievement of the historical objective of becoming good and proud members of the united European family, to support individual freedoms, the rule of law and democracy,” the prime minister stressed.
Rama said that, “These are non-negotiable commitments that go beyond the age, gender, region or political persuasion of Albanians.”/a.f/p.s./
