Deputy PM: Road maintenance workers, electricians ready to respond to severe weather-related events

TIRANA, Dec 24 /ATA/ – Road maintenance workers, emergency crews and electricians have been deployed across the country to immediately respond and deal with any emergencies caused by inclement weather.

The Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku, also Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, said Tuesday that Road Authority crews and teams from the Power Distribution Operator, OSHEE, have been deployed to handle any potential situations due to the bad weather conditions that have hit Albania in recent days.

According to her, crews have been deployed since yesterday and are ready to tackle any power grid faults and traffic congestion caused by heavy rain and snow across the country.

The Deputy PM Balluku took to the social media to share images showing the ongoing efforts by experts to repair defects and cope with adverse weather conditions.

“Additional crews and vehicles deployed across the country to ensure smooth traffic along main roads, as well as to restore power in every family,” Balluku wrote.
