TIRANA, December 17/ATA/ Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Infrastructure and Energy Belinda Balluku highlighted today the significance of cooperation between businesses and industry with vocational schools to enable internships for students from the vocational schools.
Balluku visited today one of the façon companies in Lushnja, which employs 160 workers and is currently producing clothes for the most famous Italian brands.
Balluku stated that there are several professions that need not just vocational education, but also internships in which the students should follow-up their training. And that’s why the government has focused on this education.
“The Albanian government has launched a campaign to encourage the young people to choose vocational education. Therefore, during 2024 we have had budget invoices dedicated to the reconstruction of schools, the increase of vocational curricula, the dormitories, given that the students came even from other remote areas. They want to take up a profession and then return to their home area”, she said.
Further on, she continued, business and industry also have a role.
“I really hope that businesses and industry themselves will play a role by cooperating with vocational schools and create the opportunity for these children to do internships and start to connect with the profession even during the school period”, said Balluku. /j.p/p.s./
