TIRANA, Dec 10 /ATA/ The Bank of Albania announces that the non-performing loan ratio reached 4.6% in October 2024, up from 4.58% in September of this year.
The Central Bank notes that non-performing loans remain at a stable level, and in the third quarter of this year, they recorded the lowest level in the last 16 years.

According to the Central Bank, the total non-performing loans in the banking sector are currently estimated at 37.4 billion lek, up from 35 billion lek at the end of September 2023.

According to the Bank of Albania (BSH), at the end of September, the total credit portfolio for the economy reached a value of 812 billion lek, with the real estate sector, construction, and tourism leading. /j.p/sm/
