Balla: More efficient coordination between institutions to fulfill EC recommendations

TIRANA, December 4/ATA/ Minister of State for Relations with the Parliament Taulant Balla expressed today the government’s commitment to fulfilling all the recommendations of the European Commission.

During a meeting held in Tirana with the coordinators of government ministries and independent institutions, Balla stated that, by March 2024, there were fulfilled less than 1/3 of the EC recommendations, adding that more efficient coordination between institutions is needed.

Balla shared some of the problems encountered so far, which in this process are also based on the European Commission’s 2024 report on Albania, regarding the progress of implementing the recommendations.

Balla emphasized that, “The assistance already provided by the PACEP project for the development of a harmonized methodology will naturally create the basis for the standardization and harmonization of the reporting process, to guarantee more efficient coordination, higher institutional accountability and overall higher results in time and quality in terms of the implementation of the recommendations of institutions independent of public administration institutions”.

Balla expressed the government’s commitment to continue fulfilling all recommendations as an indispensable part of the negotiation process with the EU. /p.s./
