TIRANA, December 2/ATA/ The Albanian Navy participated for the first time in the international exercise NIRIIS 24, held in Crete, Greece, among allied and partner navies, including the USA, Canada, France, Bulgaria, Egypt and Israel.
The Ministry of Defense reported today that the sailors of the Albanian force were integrated into the Command of the exercise, which included training scenarios to improve the capabilities of critical infrastructure protection, air defense, surface and anti-submarine warfare, as well as mine clearance operations.
“Our Armed Forces remain committed to cooperation with allies and improvement operational capabilities by becoming reliable ally and partner,” the Ministry of Defense reported. /r.e/a.f/p.s./
