Tourists in search of Albanian cultural heritage

TIRANA, October 29 /ATA/ Minister of Economy, Culture and Innovation Blendi Gonxhja shared in the social media a video of two of the tourists who are still visiting our country this end of October. The video was shot in St. Nicholas Church in Voskopoja, where in every stone and wall one can find the history and beauty of architecture.

In a short trip, German tourists have discovered the magic of our cultural heritage, experiencing a calm and deep spiritual atmosphere. The couple of elderly tourists say that they are having a fantastic experience and that they feel lucky to be in Albania, where they will stay for 37 days.

The Church of Saint Nicholas is located in the center of Voskopoja. The church has been declared a Cultural Monument, of the “Architecture” type, and was built around 1721.

The interior decoration of the church started around 1726, by David Selenica, one of the best masters of the XVIII century. /r.e/a.f/p.s./
