TIRANA, Oct 25 /ATA/ – Gross Written Insurance Premiums revenue in the period between January and September 2024 amounted to 18.2 billion lek, recording an increase of 7.36% compared to the same period of the previous year, according to data from the Financial Supervision Authority (FSA).
The gross paid claims were estimated at around 6.1 billion lek, rising 25.71% year-on-year during the reviewed period.
The insurance market continued to be oriented towards non-life insurance premiums, accounting for 91.92% of the total volume of premiums, life insurance premiums represented 8.05% of the total.
The voluntary insurance written premiums account for 39.61% and compulsory insurance written premiums account for 69.39% of the total market.
