TIRANA, October 19 /ATA/ During the weekend, there takes place Tirana Marathon, the biggest sports event organized for the eighth year in a row.
On the occasion of this activity that will be held along the main streets of the city, the Municipality of Tirana in cooperation with the State Police have drawn up a plan of measures for the diversion of vehicle traffic.
Today, on Saturday, from 09:00 to 11:00, along Martyrs’ of the Nation boulevard, there was held “Fun Run Marathon”, with participation of over 2,000 students from 9-grade and secondary schools in the capital.
Meanwhile, the marathon will culminate tomorrow with competitions in several disciplines.
Mayor of Tirana Erion Veliaj wrote in the social media, “We are ready for the Tirana Marathon”. /p.s./
