150% more events than in 2023, Gonxhja: Culture, heart of country’s economic development

TIRANA, October 16/ATA/ Minister of Economy, Culture and Innovation Blendi Gonxhja shared today in the social media data on the extraordinary impact that culture has on the local communities and markets. The minister placed culture at the heart of the country’s economic development.

“With over 600 artistic events throughout the country and a 150% increase compared to last year, we have brought super entertainment to over 500,000 spectators,” wrote Blendi Gonxhja. The minister also wrote that during this year there were generated 5 thousand monthly salaries only through the financing of artistic and cultural projects.

The concerts, shows and exhibitions, which have enlivened the local culture and economy, have opened up new opportunities for entrepreneurs, youth and artisans.

The diversification of the cultural agenda beyond the capital seems to have played an important role in the impact of culture on the economy, with 37.5% more geographical extension, compared to the period May-September 2023. /a.f/r.e/p.s./
