TIRANA, October 11/ATA/ Minister of Education and Sports Ogerta Manastirliu held a meeting with parents of students from different schools in the capital to present two new and ambitious programs that will initially start as pilot programs and later will be integrated in all the schools.
Manastirliu stated that the Summer Schools program, an initiative that aims to transform the summer vacation period into a valuable time for social, cultural and sports development, is ready to be piloted beginning from next summer.
This ambitious project, continued Manastriliu, will help to make better use of students’ spare time and expand educational opportunities through entertainment during vacations.
Another ambitious plan is the AfterSchool program, which aims to involve students in educational and fun activities after the end of the lesson, creating a space for their further development.
“The AfterSchool program, which we will once again pilot, will enable children to have support not only to do their homework, but also to participate in various activities that extend their time at school, always learning,” said Manastirliu.
Both these programs mark a big step toward modernizing education and providing new opportunities for students, teachers and parents, focusing on the sustainable development of children beyond the classroom. /k.s/p.s./
