TIRANA, Oct 8 /ATA/ – Chief justice of the Constitutional Court Holta Zaçaj received Tuesday the Deputy Secretary General of Konrad Adenauer and Head of the Division European and International Cooperation, Gerhard Wahlers.
Dr. Thomas Kunze, KAS Country Representative for Albania, also attended the meeting.
Albania’s highest court chief Zaçaj expressed gratitude for the very good cooperation with the Kondrad Adenauer Foundation, highlighting some of the most important activities materialized under the cooperation.
They exchanged views on the continuation of the Foundation’s cooperation with the highest Albanian court.
The meeting also focused on Albania’s European Union integration perspective.
“EU accession is a process for which the strengthening of the rule of law and democracy, the protection of basic human rights and freedoms, the independence of the judicial power, are necessary and indispensable conditions,” Constitutional Court said in a statement on the social media.
