TIRANA, Oct 7 /ATA/ Free flu vaccination has commenced on Monday in all health centers countrywide as the most efficient tool and the best protection against the flu virus.
This year, the Ministry of Health and Social Protection has provided 20,000 doses more than a year ago and will continue to be administered on high risk groups according to a calendar designated by the healthcare structures.
The Minister of Health and Social Protection, Albana Koçiu, visited the health center No. 6 in Tirana where, after receiving the flu vaccine, appealed to all citizens, especially those with chronic diseases, to get the vaccine free of charge at the respective Health Centers.
“We appeal to all risk groups go to the Health Centers to get the flu vaccine and live a healthy winter free from viruses and, above all, without the complications that viruses cause”, Minister Koçiu appealed.
The minister stated that as part of the National Vaccination Program, 280,000 vaccine doses have already been distributed throughout the country.
