TIRANA, October 4/ATA/ The National Farm and Aquaculture Investment Scheme 2024 is available to all farmers so that they can benefit from financial support to the extent of 50% of the value of investments in the sectors of greenhouses, livestock, agricultural mechanics, aquaculture and anti-hail nets.
Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Anila Denaj said during a television interview that the investment scheme has been discussed in the government since the beginning of 2024 and the Normative Act enabled not only funding for this year, but also a budget ceiling for the next year.
“We are aware, she said, that the needs for investments in agriculture are not for 500 million ALL, but we thought that for a period of more than a year and a half, it would be a fund of 15 million euros for agriculture.
Denaj said that for the best absorption of funds from this scheme this year, 30% of the preliminary funding will be applied to the winning applicants.
“The scheme includes all farmers. Today, there are 97 thousand farmers registered with NIPT who are engaged in different sectors of agriculture and that makes them potential beneficiaries of support with grants”, said Denaj. /p.s./
