Spiropali: Fight against corruption, a challenge our common present faces

TIRANA, October 3/ATA/ Speaker of the Assembly Elisa Spiropali said today that, “The fight against corruption is one of the most serious challenges facing our common society today”.

Present at the Regional Forum on Good Governance and the Fight against Corruption, which is taking place today in Tirana, Spiropali appreciated the equilibrating and balancing role of the judicial power.

Spiropali emphasized that at present no one is immune from justice.

“After many dilemmas today, nobody in the political salon has immunity, amnesty, no bunker to save him from the past and face justice, whenever it is necessary”, she said.

“We already do have a perception of the extent of the metastases of corruption in Albania, one of the most serious challenges facing our society today, corruption, an unaddressed wound for final service. Today, no one is immune from justice. I support the new independent justice bodies for the work done. The battle of the chairs in the name of the chair is the ugliest phenomenon that needs to be overcome,” she said.

Spiropali also took the opportunity to congratulate the justice bodies that while following the right direction, have been able to move the stagnant waters from the tradition of impunity. /p.s./
