TIRANA, Oct 2 /ATA/ – The Head of the Democratic Party’s Gazment Bardhi vowed Wednesday that the main opposition lawmakers “will do whatever it takes to disrupt” parliament’s regular plenary session on Thursday.
Speaking to reporters after a meeting of the PD parliamentary group, Bardhi also commented on the violence and chaos that erupted in parliament two days ago, claiming “the opposition’s reactions are largely spontaneous ones triggered by the majority’s behavior.”
“As far as tomorrow’s session is concerned, the opposition’s parliamentary group is determined to do whatever it takes to disrupt it. You will learn about our strategy to do so during the session. Don’t expect me to provide details. Our reactions are mostly spontaneous ones dictated by the behavior of the majority,” Bardhi told reporters.
Bardhi also affirmed that opposition lawmakers will attend today’s meeting of parliament’s Secretariat of Ethics that will examine the Socialist Party’s request to suspend DP lawmakers for exercising violence during parliament’s plenary session on Monday.
“Suspending opposition , jailing opposition for the free speech, attempting to eliminate opposition is a declaration of war on DP and its parliamentary group,” Bardhi said.
