10th anniversary of Berlin Process, Hasani: Committed to a stronger region

TIRANA, October 1/ATA/ Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Igli Hasani participated in the Berlin Process summit, while the initiative marks its 10th anniversary.

Hasani shared moments in the social media from his participation in the summit as he assessed that the Berlin Process is the main engine of putting in motion the regional cooperation, economic growth and integration into the European Union for the Western Balkans.

“Albania remains committed to advancing mobility agreements and consolidating a stronger and more stable region”, said the Albanian chief diplomat.

Hasani added that this moment should be used to bring the Western Balkans closer to the EU.

The Berlin Process is a 2014 initiative to support the EU integration of the countries of the Western Balkans: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro. North Macedonia and Serbia.

The four objectives of the Berlin Process, stated since its beginning, remain unchanged: the solution of internal, open bilateral problems between Western Balkan countries, reconciliation between societies in the region, improvement of regional economic cooperation and finally the creation of a base for the sustainable growth of the region. /p.s./
