Zhupa: Assembly does not implement decisions of Constitutional Court

TIRANA, October 26/ATA/ MP of the Democratic Party in opposition Ina Zhupa stated that the Assembly does not implement the decisions of the Constitutional Court, i.e. the Constitution itself.

She made the statement during the meeting called in the Assembly by the Assembly Speaker Elisa Spiropali with heads of the independent institutions and representatives of the diplomatic corps in our country,

“Thus, the Assembly failed to observe the decision of the Constitutional Court for the mandate of MP Olta Xhaçka by guaranteeing her political protection. So, the Assembly does not implement the decisions of the judiciary which should not be discussed, but should be implemented”, she said.

Zhupa also pointed at the justice that is still not done in time; the citizens need up to 7 years to get a court decision.

Further on, Zhupa called the attacks against the State Supreme Audit as unprecedented.

“The obstruction of State Supreme Audit to report to the Assembly is unprecedented. It’s the only institution that has not yet approved a resolution and has not come for reporting in the plenary session. This is political pressure,” she said.

Furthermore, she emphasized that it has never happened that there is no balance in independent institutions.

“All the appointments of the Assembly were made by the ruling majority, without any discussion and involvement of the opposition”, she stated.

She spoke about the politicization of public administration and its transformation into an electoral army. /p.s./
