TIRANA, September 21 /ATA/ Dhurata Lazo, Aleksandër Çipa and Anila Basha received by the municipality of Gjirokastra the “Kadare” award for their contribution for the promotion of the values of this city.
“Kadare”, is an award of gratitude; it is love for a city that speaks through every stone, alley and every memory preserved with such devotion.
For pianist Dhurata Lazo, emotions were inevitable.
“In Germany, where I live, I am taking this piece of Gjirokastra and I will keep it with me because I am very proud to be from Gjirokastra,” she said.
Aleksandër Çipa, a powerful voice of journalism, expressed his gratitude to the stone city.
Anila Basha, with deep humility, accepted the “Kadare” award, with a great sense of responsibility, despite the fact that she is not from Gjirokastra.
This evening was organized by Mayor Flamur Golemi and the “Antigonea” center. /a.f/p.s./
