TIRANA, Sept 9 /ATA/ On the first day of school for the 2024-2025 school year, Parliament Speaker Elisa Spiropali visited the Resource Center for Children with Special Needs.
In a press briefing after the visit to this center, Spiropali congratulated all the students but also the first graders.
“I also congratulate parents who feel excited about the beginning of school year as much as their children, but also teachers by encouraging them to serve with dedication to the children who are the future of this country,” Spiropali said.
“It is important that we pay high attention to children with special needs, who need extra care in terms of didactic, but also health care because they are entitled to comprehensive education that gives them an opportunity to master their lives,” she said.
“The Assembly of Albania is committed to make better laws, to influence the policymaking in the best interest of 9-year school students, high schoolers. They represent our future. Just as we are investing in school infrastructure, investing in laboratories, but also in other technologies and tools, it is our obligation to make it possible for every child, regardless of the region, social background, and for all children with disabilities, to ensure equal treatment and dignified education,’ she said.
