Tabaku: Budget review does not make any difference in citizens’ life

TIRANA, Sept 3 /ATA/ The Democratic Party MP Jorida Tabaku on Tuesday criticized the normative act for budget review, calling it another budget that does not make any difference in citizens’ life.

According to Tabaku, the normative act is a mirror image of the socialist budgets over the span of 11 years that have overlooked the interests of citizens, middle class, farmers, education and other important sectors of the country.

“While real wage growth has been only 2.2% in 11 years under the SP govt., the price increase has been 2.5%. For the first time in 15 years, real wages have been declining,” Tabaku said, raising concern that these economic policies have lowered the value of citizens’ wages and savings.

Tabaku accused the government of turning the budget in favour of the minority, while most citizens continue to struggle with economic hardship.

Concluding, the DP MP stressed that this normative act, like all others before, does not make any real difference in the daily lives of citizens and does not address their main problems.
