TIRANA, August 7/ATA/ In context of facilitation of consular services, the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs announced to all Albanian citizens interested in the legalization procedures of documents that this process is now done within 24 hours.
Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Igli Hasani said that for this it is enough to submit the documents to any post office within the territory of the Republic of Albania.
“The Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs handles all the documents for legalization/apostillation within the day; the documents are received by the mail couriers and then it is carried out their distribution”, he said.
Albania is a member of the Hague Convention “On the abolition of legalization of foreign public documents” of 5 October 1961, which means that the Albanian documents that will be used in member countries of the same Convention, and vice versa, will not be legalized by diplomatic and consular representations. /m.m/p.s./
