TIRANA, Aug 6 /ATA/ The US Chargé d’Affaires in Tirana, Nancy VanHorn, asserted her commitment to support Albania on the path to European integration and to further strengthen the ties between the two countries.
Through a video message published by the US embassy in Tirana, VanHorn said she was eager to explore and learn more about Albania.
“Since 2007 when I joined the United States Foreign Service, I have worked as a diplomat throughout Eastern Europe, including embassies in Ukraine, Armenia and Russia,” she said.
VanHorn expressed her excitement that she is in Albania and that she will work for common goals to promote democratic values, to increase security and cooperation as a NATO ally and to advance economic growth.”
“I have been learning Albanian and I am eager to discover the rich culture of Albania for myself. For this I need your help to get started. Thank you for your warm hospitality in your beautiful country. I look forward to discovering, learning and making friendships that will last,” said VanHorn.
