TIRANA, August 5/ATA/ President of the Republic Bajram Begaj received today Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Austria to Albania Monica Zach.
President Begaj accepted the credentials of the Austrian ambassador and wished her success during her diplomatic mission in Albania. Begaj also expressed his support and that of the Albanian authorities.
During the conversation, both interlocutors positively assessed the high and excellent level of Albanian-Austrian relations and they also emphasized the need for the advancement of economic cooperation through strengthening of the role of the Joint Economic Commission for the expansion of trade, investments and tourism.
President Begaj expressed gratitude to Austria for the continuous help it has given to Albania through concrete projects in many areas, such as: in justice, education and defense, for lobbying during the EU integration process, the contribution to Kosovo through KFOR, as well as for promoting regional cooperation. /p.s./
