TIRANA, July 26 /ATA/ Police arrested in the act two persons responsible of yesterday’s arson attacks in Kavaja and Rrogozhina.
Minister of the Interior Taulant Balla recalled today in a reaction that intentional arson attack is a serious crime and is punishable by up to 15 years in prison.
“The police and other affiliated relevant structures will have zero tolerance in this regard,” Balla said.
The police identified and arrested two suspected perpetrators of arson attack yesterday afternoon in Golem and Rrogozhina.
As a result of the fires, the homes as well as the planted areas with olives and other fruit trees and forest areas, in the villages of Zigxhafaj and Sineballaj were endangered.
Thanks to the immediate intervention of firefighters, assisted by a helicopter of the Ministry of Defense, it was managed to neutralize the flames and save the homes. /p.s./
