TIRANA, July 25/ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama is in Paris to attend the International Summit on Sport and Sustainable Development on the eve of “Paris 2024” Olympic Games.
The head of the government shared in the social media photos from the reception reserved for him in the capital of France.
“Paris, the Sports for Development Summit, on the eve of Olympic Games”, wrote Rama.
The 33rd edition of the Olympic Games will start on July 26. In “Paris 2024” Albania participates for the tenth time in the Olympics. The red and black team will be formed by eight athletes, four of whom have gained the standard qualification based on sports performance and four others go by invitation.
The athlete Luiza Gega as well as the three wrestlers Zelimkhan Abakarov, Islam Dudaev and Chermen Valiev are the athletes of Albania who go to “Paris 2024” as qualified. The Albanian team has also received four invitations to “Paris 2024”. Thus, by invitation, Franko Burraj will compete in athletics, Greisi Koxhaku and Kaltra Meça in swimming and Manjola Konini in shooting. /r.e/p.s./
