TIRANA, July 6 /ATA/ Passionate about extreme sports, many tourists line the course of Vjosa to experience the unique experience of rafting.
Vjosa, the pearl of Europe is located only 1 hour and 45 minutes from Saranda and 45 minutes from Gjirokastra.
The Minister of Tourism and Environment, Mirela Kumbaro informs that rafting in Vjosa river is an opportunity for groups of visitors to soak up nature, immerse themselves in culture, outdoor sports, tradition and history, while sharing photos of a group of foreign tourists who are getting ready to challenge the waves of the untamed Vjosa.
Adventure tourists cross the river from Përmet to Këlcyre at a length of almost 20 km.
The downstream is navigable in some sections and transverse and wavy in other sections that are deeper.
Adventure tourism blends in Përmet with tradition, cuisine and hospitality.
