TIRANA, July 2 /ATA/ Minister of Interior, Taulant Balla, on Tuesday appreciated the commitment of the Traffic Police to identify traffic violations and to respond in time to citizens’ reports.
Balla said in a post on social media that the Traffic Police should increase vigilance throughout the country to guarantee more safety and adherence to traffic rules.
“Citizens have the right to report, and even the law does not tolerate vehicles with tinted windows. The Traffic Police no longer turn a blind eye in these cases, nor turn a deaf ear to the noises and impermissible speed limits and tire rotation in the residential areas”, said Balla.
According to him, the complicit negligence and silence of the strongmen of the neighborhood and the failure of the law enforcement forces to handle the citizens’ denunciations, mean the police’s alignment against them, against the state.
Balla emphasized that the phenomena of driving after the use of alcohol or narcotics are the source and main cause of accidents.
“I appreciate the commitment of the Tirana Traffic Police, which during the last seven days have detected 15,000 traffic violations, including many cases of this phenomenon. We expect more results”, writes Balla./sm/
