TIRANA, June 28 /ATA/ – Prime Minister Edi Rama stated Friday that no criminal complaint has been filed with the Special Anti-Corruption and Organized Crime Prosecution Structure (SPAK) by the head of the Democratic Party’ parliamentary group Gazment Bardhi against Olsi Rama, the Prime Minister’s brother, over his alleged involvement in a purported drug laboratory in Xibrake.
PM Rama rejected Bardhi’s assertions as baseless and unsubstantiated, describing his latest claims as “just another dance on the lap of the new pimp sitting on the balcony,” in a reference to the DP chairman Sali Berisha.
“Do you recall his statement that he that he had discovered a drug trafficker in my family and that he had allegedly pressed criminal charges with SPAK. But the supposed drug trafficker pressed charges against him for defamation,” Rama said.
“However, it turned out that it was not defamation, but that no criminal complaint has been filed with SPAK,” he said.
Fortunately – the Premier went on saying – “SPAK has however reopened the supposed file and let’s all wait whether any alleged evidence will be found.”
