TIRANA, June 26 /ATA/ – Increasing information to the public could be the best way to combat disinformation, Prime Minister Edi Rama stated on Wednesday.
“There could be no more efficient way to combat disinformation than by informing more, and there could be no more direct, more democratic and certainly more confronting way to counter disinformation than by increasing information,” PM Rama said in his remarks at the National Conference on the Right to Information.
“Disinformation is grows daily, while providing the information based on written, signed and stamped documents is not consistent and this is not a matter of coordinators,” Rama stated.
The government head said: “Fortunately, we live in a time when technology is a blessing for countries like ours that compensate for the lack of progress associated with the lack of tradition of the state with technological development and as much technology and as much uninfluenced space as possible from the subjectivity of one and the other we create for the data, for all those data that are public property that there are and data that are considered confidential data by law, the more we will be able to help the public, but we also help our country to rise to another level and this is completely possible.”
