TIRANA, June 3 /ATA/ The Democratic Party head, Lulzim Basha, shared Monday on his social media account another part of the program presented last Saturday, the one on foreign policy and security.
Kreshnik Çollaku, Xhemal Gjunkshi, Myzafer Elezi and Edvin Kulluri presented the proposals drawn up by a wide group of experts.
As far as foreign policy is concerned, among other things, DP promises to achieve EU integration and visa liberalization with the US.
As for national security, the novelty will be the establishment of the National Gendarmerie with full infantry, air and naval capacities.
In its proposals, DP promises visa removal with the USA for Albanian citizens within the first term of office.
The Democratic Party guarantees full and active support and engagement in all regional initiatives aimed at the Euro-Atlantic integration of the region, as well as fully and unreservedly supports initiatives such as the Berlin Process, deterring any other format with an unclear destination and that risks deviating from principles of EU integration.
The Democratic Party has made Albanian interests in the region a priority in its foreign policy.
“The protection of territorial integrity and sovereignty, as well as the consolidation of the democratic state in Kosovo, is a priority for the Democratic Party in foreign policy, in bilateral and multilateral relations in the region and beyond”, says the PD program.
DP will also support the consolidation of Albanian political factors and promote the strengthening of the institutional representation of these factors in neighboring countries.
