TIRANA, June 2/ATA/ One day after the Democratic Party Program Assembly, Chairman Lulzim Basha highlighted in the social media some of the proposals for the fight against corruption and good governance.
According to Basha, the program presented on Saturday came as a result of a long and comprehensive work of local and foreign experts, a year before the general elections, as a commitment of DP to give citizens the proper time to get acquainted with the proposals and to start a national debate on the presented alternative.
“There is the proposal for the fight against corruption and the rule of law, in addition to the long-standing proposals for the vetting of politicians, the removal of immunity and support for SPAK. The program also carries innovations such as the establishment of the unit for the detection and recovery of stolen assets and properties through which there will be traced the assets stolen by corrupt officials, wherever they are hidden, inside and outside the country, in order to return them to the state. Also the program carries the return of the High State Control into an audit court. The program also carries the division of Albania into 5 regions, in accordance with the requirements of the EU, empowering equal economic development in the entire territory. Also the new DP government will waive all trials against individuals, whether for the recognition of pension or others, making it possible for thousands of citizens who are in trial with the state to gain their denied rights, thus facilitating the judicial system, which carries over 25 thousand such cases, which block the work of the Albanian judiciary, thus delaying the settlement of the law in the country”, wrote Basha./r.e/p.s./
