Tabaku: Majority cannot shun opposition and propagate anti-corruption

TIRANA, May 30 /ATA/ The Democratic Party MP, Jorida Tabaku, stated on Thursday in the plenary session of the Assembly which focused on the establishment of the special anti-corruption commission, that “this majority has neither the moral attribute nor the political will to combat corruption since it has been denying for years on end the corrupt affairs that SPAK is proving through the files sent to the court.”

Tabaku added that the same majority has approved 15 tailor-made laws that have stimulated corruption, refusing to demand transparency and accountability from the government.

She emphasized that the majority voted against DP’s proposals for strengthening the fight against corruption.

“Today, Albania needs to break this impasse, this 12-year scum that has led to a corrupt system, that has corrupted institutions, that is corrupting individuals, who are appearing before the Special Prosecutor’s Office much more than in their offices”, said Tabaku.
