TIRANA, May 29 /ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama stated on Wednesday that the raise of administration salary will come into effect in June and the average salary will be 900 euros.
“Another salary raise will come into force in June, which is the next step to reach the announced target, the average salary of 900 euros in the Albanian public sector. You will benefit the salary raise once all procedures are completed,” Rama said in his speech at the launch of the Public Administration Motivation Plan, part of Albania’s challenge 2030 for EU membership and the increase of the state capabilities in the service of citizens.
Prime Minister Rama said that “it is a very significant increase if we consider the total. There are 400 million in total mobilized for human capital as compared to previous year. Undoubtedly, we need to do more. There will be even more because it is not an increase that we see as the end of a process.”
“I believe you all agree at this point, we need to get around to increasing the support for retirees, starting from the lowest pensions, which is the most difficult and challenging part. There is a significant number of pensioners who receive a pension of less than 150 euros.”
