TIRANA, May 27/ATA/ The Assembly approved today the draft resolution “On deepening the reforms for good governance, the rule of law and anti-corruption for opening up opportunity of Albania 2030 in the European Union”.
The draft anti-corruption resolution was approved by the MPs with 76 votes in favor, 2 against and no abstentions.
The resolution aims to promote the spirit of constructive political and institutional dialogue within the constitutional and legal framework among the three independent powers as well as all institutional actors and political and social factors in the country in function of a new reform cycle.
It also aims to make the Assembly of Albania become more focused on accelerating the EU membership process, for the consolidation of democracy and the strengthening of the rule of law, considering the deepening of reforms for the further improvement of good governance as a major issue of priority, strengthening the fight against corruption, consolidating law enforcement and the protection of basic human rights and freedoms.
Among other things, the resolution aims to further improve the efforts to strengthen implementation of the law as well as guarantee the irreversibility of the Reform in Justice, its further consolidation and promotion of efficiency of the justice system up to the expectations of Albanian citizens. /m.m/p.s./
