The northern area of Albania has been attracting great interest among foreign and domestic tourists for years. And step by step, this lake is taking its place on the top lists to explore and visit.
Lake Koman is a reservoir on the Drin River, which is fed by the Shala and Valbona rivers. It extends over an area of 34 kilometers, from the village of Koman all the way to the village of Fierzë. This lake is home to 13 different species of fish and amphibians.
Lake Koman is located between the mountains of Shkodra and Kukës regions. It is incredible that such a beautiful place is the result of a reservoir built in 1978 near the village of Koman.
The trip along the lake from Komani to Fierze takes less than three hours and is considered one of the most unique travel experiences in Albania. The canoe trip offers the most wonderful panorama of this wild nature that surrounds the lake./p.s./
