TIRANA, May 15/ATA/ The coastal city of Durrës is ready to welcome holidaymakers for the summer season.
Prime Minister Edi Rama shared today in the social media photos of the work carried out by the municipality of Durrës for cleaning the coast, the beach tractors to smooth sand and handle erosion problems, the work to separate public and private beaches, as well as adjusting the connecting paths.
“From Durrës, where we have taken all measures so that everything is ready for a successful summer season”, wrote Rama.
Durrës is one of the most popular tourist destinations in our country with one of the longest coastlines. Also, in Durrës, apart from coastal tourism, the holidaymakers can also have a taste of the cultural and historical sites, as there is located one of the oldest civilizations in Albania.
Last week, around 50 tourists from Great Britain arrived in Durrës, which opened the season of cruises in the Port of Durrës. During these first months of the year, there is seen a growing trend of tourist flows, while last year Albania welcomed more than 10 million foreign tourists./a.f/r.e/p.s./
