TIRANA, May 11 /ATA/ The school security package guarantees a high level of security at educational institutions for months.
In a post on social media, the Minister of Interior, Taulant Balla, has congratulated the Police of Lezha for the timely response, preventing the escalation of an armed conflict, and the Police of Tirana for the systematic crackdown on illegal possession of fire arms.
“The State Police continue the implementation of the initiative of the Security Package in schools, as part of the crackdown on drug peddling. Also, in focus is unauthorized possession of firearms as the main cause of crimes against person. Congratulations to the Police of Lezha for the timely response which prevented the escalation of a conflict with firearms and the Police of Tirana for the systematic crackdown on unauthorized possession of firearms,” Balla says.
Also, Minister Balla emphasized that “controls should be ratcheted up based on information provided by citizens not only about these phenomena but also about the prevention of gender-based violence”.
