TIRANA, May 7 /ATA/ – By Maela Marini/ Prime Minister Edi Rama said on Tuesday that the Justice Reform pulled down the ugly monument of impunity in Albania.
In the extended meeting with the SP parliamentary group and the government cabinet, Prime Minister Rama focused on the Justice Reform, emphasizing that without the determination of the SP and the courage to advance the reform, we would not have an independent judiciary today.
The Prime Minister said that no one has ever gone above and beyond to free justice from the political power itself, therefore no one who has been an integral part of the political extension has ever been tried by an independent justice.
“We pride ourselves in something that today no one denies that without the leadership strength and courage of the SP in the course of 10 years the confidence of Albanians in justice would not have been restored and today’s Albania would be unlikely to see the ugly monument of impunity culture collapse”, said Rama.
But, Rama continued, our mark in history will not only depend on the turn of the fundamental change we led the state to, but how further the SP will make this tangible progress irreversible.
